Are you familiar with Velfac windows?

Yes we have completed many jobs where these widows are being installed

What areas do you cover?

We are a national company and have carried out works all over the UK.

Are your quotes FREE?

Yes our quotes are free, we can work off drawings, photo's and site visits if required.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, most are 10 years but on certain works its 25 years.

How long does it take to install?

It depends on the size of the property but most jobs take 2-3 weeks depending on the weather and if its having insulation.

What disruption will there be?

This all depends on they type of works, new build have very little disruptions but occupied houses will have some drilling if insulation is being installed, some times plants and shrubs may need to be moved or pulled back to access walls, sky dishes are often moved by the scaffolders. We would go over all the above and any concerns you have during our pre-installation survey.

Do I need to be present during the works?

No unless we require the heating engineer or plumber to access the boiler of soil stack during external wall insulation, otherwise all our works are outside and do not require us going inside.

How is the render/insulation applied?

All the insulation systems are fixed with adhesive and mechanical fixings, we do not install dry fix systems, all our renders are hand applied and are available in varying grades of finish and colour.

Does it breathe?

Yes the systems we use are fully vapour permeable

How durable is the render?

Once the render is cured it is very strong, some times high impact areas require extra security in the system and we can advise on this, any damage can be repaired and recommend you do this as soon as possible to stop any further damage by the weather.

How long will it last?

Most systems have been tested by BBA and have over 30 years lifetime expectancy if installed correctly.

Can I fix anything to the wall after?

Yes you can drill into the render to fix as normal, if you have external wall insulation then you need to use special fixings, most times this can be done at the time of insulation, again we would advise on this during our survey.

How is the render maintained?

We offer a guide to looking after the render once we complete the works to give you the maximum benefit of the render.

How ECO friendly are the systems?

The systems are low on maintenance over their life span, the insulations we use are  CFC and HCFC-free. Using the external wall insulation greatly reduces pollution and cuts your energy consumption once installed, it also offers better health as it stops the risk of condensation and internal mould growth.

How much would I save on my energy bill by installing EWI?

It depends on the size of your house and usage but up to £460 a year according to The Energy Savings Trust.

How much will it cost?

It depends on what system and finish you are having, we try and price our works on a m2 and show how we work out your quote, we deduct the windows only charging for the actual wall area, on smaller jobs its a lump sum based on time and materials.

Is it a one day job?

No due to the nature of the systems even the smallest job will require multiple visits but we can advise on the best system to reduce costs.

Will it make my house worth more?

It can, a good render finish will add appeal and value to your home and if insulated is a selling point to buyers.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us, the front of your house is the first thing you and visitors see when you or they arrive, don't take chances contact us today for your quotation.
